"Beautiful Blackbird Collaborative Art Inspired by American Author Ashley Bryan" -- This collaborative mixed media piece was inspired by the book BEAUTIFUL BLACKBIRD by author and artist Ashley Bryan. It was made by the PK-3rd grade students. PK/K students created textured paper for the leaves. 1st & 3rd grades created collage birds. 2nd Grade hand cut leaves from texture paper. All students in grades 1-3 added bark to the tree using clay. Each textured mark on the tree trunk is created with fingerprints from our students.
